Q: WIFI?

A: Yes we have FREE WIFI in both cottages. Download speed 25 – 30 mbps Upload speed 7 mbps

Q: Do we accept dogs?

A: Sorry but NO we do not accept dogs  during your stay or friends visiting dogs either.

Q: What is our cancellation policy?

A: Please click here to see our terms and conditions, which includes our cancellation policy.

Q: Is the availability calendars up to date.

A: Yes, our availability calendar is kept up to date, but please note, we will only hold dates for 24 hours by request and if a booking form and deposit is not received within 7 days of a request the dates are made available again.  We also advertise on other sites so some booked dates will not show straight away.

Q: What time can we arrive?

A: 4.00 pm onwards, if it is a short break stay the arrival time will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Q: What time do we have to vacate by on the departure day?

A: 10.00 am latest please.  Short break departure time may vary, please check.

Q: Do you have an electric vehicle charging point?

A: Yes, we have one charging point between 2 properties. Charges apply. We do not allow under any circumstances vehicles to be charged from a standard 3 pin socket and extension cable.

Q: Do you do short break stays?

A: Yes we do in low season, please enquire. April – 1st November  are generally 7 nights.

Q: What is included in our stay?

A: Towels, all bed linen, logs, electricity, liquid hand soap, tea towels, dish cloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hair dryer, 4 toilet rolls, kitchen roll.

Q: What deposit is required?

A: 20% of total cost unless there are less than 8 weeks to your stay, then the full amount is due.

Q: Is a car essential when staying at our cottages?

A: Yes

Q: When do we pay the balance?

A: 8 weeks before your stay.

Q: Is there a BBQ?

A: BBQ available on request, we recommend buying the large disposable tray bbq rather than loose coals please.

Q: Are we family friendly?

A: Yes, we have lots of outside space, inside games, we have a travel cot and high chair in both cottages, we just ask that you bring your own bedding for the travel cot.

Q: When is the tennis court available?

A: It is a grass court, so we have it ready for 1st May and go through to early September. We also provide rackets and balls.

Q: Where is the nearest train station?

A: Malton which is 10 minutes drive, and is also opposite the bus station along with two taxi ranks.

Q: A funny one, but I frequently get asked “what does the horse in the paddock have on his head”?

A: During the warmer months, the horse in the paddock (Bob) wears a full head see through mesh  cover, which keeps the flies off him!!
