The Granary makes a wonderful place to stay all year round, with every season bringing something different.

Spring

Springtime is wonderful in this area, with the fields and woodland exploding into life and colour. There are plenty of warm days and recent spring months have been very dry.

Summer

Summer here is glorious, with long, warm days. The villages are full of life – you will come across cricket games on Burythorpe’s sports field, and there are numerous village fetes, open gardens and so on.

Autumn

With so much woodland around, autumn is very special here, and we love the autumn months. This is usually an excellent season for walking and being active, too.

Winter

The Granary is so cosy and warm that winter here is a delight. Wrap up warm and enjoy an exhilarating walk, then lunch in a local pub. Spend your evenings by the fire reading and relaxing. The night sky is amazing here, too – with little light pollution, the stars can take your breath away!
