Self-Catering Holiday Cottages in North Yorkshire

Looking for a peaceful rural getaway in North Yorkshire? Our self-catering cottages—The Granary (sleeps 8, max 7 adults) and The Mistal (sleeps 4)—offer well-equipped, comfortable accommodation ideal for families, friends, and small groups. Set in a quiet and private countryside location, both cottages include free Wi-Fi and plenty of thoughtful touches to help you settle in from the moment you arrive.

What’s Included

On arrival, we provide tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and a little treat to welcome you.
In the kitchens, you’ll find:

  • Hand towel, tea towel, oven gloves, dishcloth, sponge, and rubber gloves

  • Washing-up liquid, hand soap, and 7 dishwasher tablets

  • Kitchen roll, salt & pepper, cling film, and tin foil

  • Full range of pots, pans, utensils, crockery, and cutlery

We also provide:

  • Fresh bed linen, bath and hand towels, bath mats, and hairdryers

  • Hand soap and 3 toilet rolls per bathroom

Outdoor Spaces

Each cottage has its own garden with a patio set and washing line:

  • The Granary garden is fully enclosed—perfect for children.

  • The Mistal garden is open and bordered by countryside views.

From May to early September, guests can enjoy a grass tennis court and an additional enclosed lawn area for ball games.

  • Free parking available

  • No parties or events permitted—holiday accommodation only

  • No dogs or pets allowed

  • Children welcome – high chair and travel cot available in both cottages

  • No TVs in bedrooms

Please note:

  • The Granary has some low beams upstairs and a low ceiling in the ensuite shower.

  • We’re surrounded by working farmland, so farm machinery activity is to be expected during certain times of the year.

  • Expect to see local wildlife such as foxes, deer, hares, owls, and even badgers!

We kindly ask guests not to use fireworks or sky lanterns as we have horses on the property.

At night, the area is very dark, making it ideal for stargazing with no light pollution.

Arrival & Departure

  • Arrival: From 4:00 PM

  • Departure: By 10:00 AM latest (to allow our cleaning team to prepare for the next guests)
